Michael Long is a registered patent attorney with extensive legal experience in a wide variety of intellectual property areas including: patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution; patent license drafting and negotiation; patent and trademark litigation support; client counseling related to patent, trademark, and copyright matters (including employment agreements and policies related to intellectual property); and patent and trademark infringement and validity analysis and opinions.
Michael has drafted and/or prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, including wireless communication systems (e.g., WiMAX and LTE), processor systems (including superscalar and pipelined processors, and microcontrollers), software applications, automotive control systems, automotive electronics, microelectromechanical system (MEMS) sensors, photonic devices, and a wide variety of mechanical devices.
Michael has extensive industry experience as a test equipment engineer and is an inactive registered professional engineer in the State of Missouri.
